As a skilled tradesman you would expect Iain Russell to have a keen eye for detail, you won't be disappointed. Iain for many years had his own successful building company but after an injury induced set-back in 1996 Iain needed to change.

Like most of us he has always held a passion for toys, especially so wooden toys, their design and functionality so it was the ideal way to harness and combine these skill-sets and passion into Sussex Toy Craft. Established now since 1997 Iain has never looked back.

Iain became a member of the British Toymakers Guild in 2005 and is a current member of both The Sussex Woodcraft Society www.sussexwoodcraft.co.uk and Weald Crafts www.wealdcrafts.co.uk

Sustainability is a very important consideration on our minds in these times and at Sussex Toy Craft we encourage recycling and upcycling wherever practical and possible, so chances are any toy you buy from us has origines from elsewhere!

Working primarily from his home workshop Iain also displays his wonderful handcrafted wooden toys at his outlet at the Craft Barn on the Bentley Estate in East Sussex. It is possible by prior booking to visit the outlet should you wish to physically see the toys.
